We just came back from diving in the West End with Coconut Tree. Fish Den, Hole in the Wall, the Aguila,Tabayanas, Turtle Crossing, Black Rock, & Blue Channel were all great dives; especially the last one where we saw 2 turtles at the same time feeding off the reef & not concerned about us at all. The staff there are all about customer service & Monty was wild to dive with as he dives with side-mounted tanks. Always a techie. The Sea Breeze was also a good hotel to stay at with the convience of the kitchen & location!:cool2:

Did he have any reason for this? I dive sidemount when cave configuration requires it but it is quite inefficient for OW diving. Was it simply a "look at me" type of thing?

When I was diving with Monte back in May he was working on an optimal sidemount configuration, changing his setup on every boat trip out.

I know I have been working on my tech configuration sidemount and have been using it for rec diving as well. There are plusses and minuses to both, and would probably be a better discussion in the sidemount forum. I know my sidemount instructor swears by it and does 100% of his diving sidemount no matter what the environment, diving with dual 40s rather than a single 80.
