Hello all. Got a question regarding the RK3 fins from Apeks. I currently use Quattros. And I have used SP JetFins in the past.

My problem with the JetFins was basically that it was just too hard to flutter kick -- go super fast (in case I need to chase down a student, a whale shark, fight a current, etc.).

My question for those that have used the RK3's.. are they much easier to flutter kick in than the JetFins?

Thanks in advance!!

They are easier to flutter than Jets as the standard version is noticeably softer. But, having a small blade I don't think they are ideal at flutter. If you've the leg muscles the Quattros IMO are better. I've owned them all. IMO the Quattros are a better all round fin.

How about the Quatros vs the XT’s? Are the XT’s significantly more powerful? Is there any downside to the XT’s in comparison to the Quattros?

Depends on your predominate kicking style, mine is frog and for that I find the XTs more powerful. Now if I flutter kicked then the Quattros, being less stiff, "might" be the better choice. If you've strong legs then, regardless of kicking style, I'd pick the XTs over the Quattros every time.
