Just wanted to give a quick review. So many people are quick to post negative reviews, but here is a positive one.

We just returned from Placencia. I emailed Ralph several times before we arrived. My daughter and I are relatively new to diving (3 years) and we brought her friend who is just certified. We also had snorkelers with us as well.

We made 2 trips with Splash. The first was to Silk Caye with the snorkelers. We had an amazing day. The Divemasters (DMs)were awesome! We were in small groups - It was just the 3 of us in our group with 2 DMs. My daughters friend was having trouble with her (newer) mask fogging. The DM gave her his mask underwater as he had an extra with him. He helped her exchange it on the sea floor so she could enjoy the dive.

We went out the next day with just the divers to Pompion Caye. This time we had 4 divers and 2 excellent DMs.

My only disappointment was we never made it to Glover's Atoll - but because I had talked to Ralph beforehand, I knew this was a possibility based upon weather and ocean conditions.

There are many Dive shops in the area, but if I am ever back, I will definitely use Splash.

Per the diving standards that were adopted by the Belizean Tourist Board a couple of years ago, the ratio of guides to guests is capped at 1 to 8. I've dived with Splash for years, and they consistently provide a ratio of at least 1 to 3 or 4, sometimes even more. Since I go in the "slow season," sometimes I have my own personal guide which is really great because then I can go at my own pace, very slow, without other bothering other divers who often want to go like crazy to see what's around the next bend.

Glad you had a good time. Next time hopefully you can make it to Glovers. It's a bit of a trip but well worth it.

Thanks for a great review. Patty and I really appreciate you taking time to share your experience with Splash on ScubaBoard and we certainly hope we will see you in Placencia again and the trip to Glover's.
Regards
Ralph
