Resort Sports/Spanish Bay Reef Resort

Has anyone used the onsite dive operator Resort Sports Ltd.? Do other dive ops pick you up at Spanish Bay Reef as in Cozumel, or do you need to go to their location?

There are no dive operators that I am aware of that will pick you up at Spanish Bay Reef. It is quite a way off the beaten track and traffic is also an issue. You are best off diving with the on site operator or drive your rental car (highly recommended) to departure points with other operators.

I just came back from the Grand Cayman. There is a dive operator at Spanish Bay. Best deal for shore diving, only $5.00US for a tank compaired to 8-10 every where else. They also have a dive boat docked there. No other operators operate out of Spanish Bay. Divetech, Cobalt Coast is only 5 minutes down the road.

I dove spanish bay a few months ago.Their dive operation is excellent.The dive boats are large and roomy and the captains and mates are very good.Ask to dive the boat with Peter and Marlin,they are both very good and fun guys.Naomi is the dive shop manager she is a very nice and accomodating person.

Spanish Bay did not include their boat diving in their package and when we did pay to go on their boat, the boat did not arrive until 10:30 because they catier to the crusie ships. Their boat was nice and big but it was packed with cruise ship divers. The next day we booked with Divetech and they picked us up at Spanish Bay and their boats were also nice and big but never crowded and their staff were just awesome. They run 2 one hour dives off their boats and if you did not have a dive computer they provide them for free, plus their shore diving was free 24/7 with a boat package. We also would recommend trying out their underwater scooter trip, it was a highlight of our dive vacation. Next time we will stay at Divetech's dive resort which includes boat diving in their package. Have a great time diving....
