Residents of Coz, any word on Wilma?

What is the latest on the hurricane hitting the island? From current projections it appears it will shirt by the island to the east but if it shifts westerly it could impact the island. Hope not. There goes the vis

Not much talk about Wilma on the Cozumel Forum....Predictions seem to take it between Cuba and the Yucatan but who knows... weathercasters say it is the strongest storm in the history of record keeping it is now a cat 5 w/175mph winds:11:

According to the tech admin...too many bugs so they did away with them...see under site support toward the top of the page where the forums start...Oh well lets see...
3 days some odd hrs and a few minutes, and counting til Roatan....hope Wilma gets outta there by the time we get there.

With the currents they have in COZ, I doubt the vis will be impacted for long. But if the island takes a direct hit by this storm, it will not be the Vis you have to worry about.

I wish it would go away, but it's going to hit somewhere... curious that predictions have it heading back east, and hitting S FL.... just lovely... :frown3:

I heard that we are now in the beginning of a weather cycle that occurs every 60,000 years. Is this what we all have to face every year now? Wherever this hits, it will not be nice.

Yes, vis is the last consideration. Lives and property are at great risk now.
