Hey guys,
I recently received (as a gift) a US Divers Scan 4 computer. Yes, I know its easy-just press the button and get the bends.

But I want the manual or a copy. I am one of those people who reads every bit of info on the equipment I own and every tech manual I can get my hands on.. Anyone have one they'd be willing to copy or PDF? or even part with the original?

I tried ebay, but got outibid. I'd pay for copies or the original or swap something...

Thanks

If you can't find one - I betcha you could go to an aqualung dealer - they might have one lying around, or at least they could get one from aqualung themselves - probably for no charge, either..

Thanks.. Must have been narcosis... I didn't think of that.. The local shop tends to be not very helpful if you are not a student or customer (I am neither) so I may have to go outside of local, but some shop out there should have one.

Thanks

Danny

Hear ya...

set up a fake email account , email them from that address and see if they'll mail or fax you one. No one lies over the internet, right? :)

Hi Danny,

I happen to own a manual for the scan 4, only problem is, it's in german! I have it as a PDF however, so if you're interested, I could mail it.

I have owned a Scan 4 for 10 years, 900+ dives and love it - Nice bar graph to show loading, user replaceable batteries and the 12 tissue group modified H algorithm tracks my new Suunto mosquito nearly exactly on the 2 dives I've done with the mosquito.

I have the manual and may be able to photocopy it for you, but I know I've taken it on dive trips and it has gotten wet so i must loook at it again to be sure all pages are reproducible

PS - I've seen two types of batteries for the Scan 4; a standard J cell (nearly square) and a nearly square holder/plastic adapter that holds smaller wafer batteries and fits in the J-Cell slot.
If you have this adapter that holds the wafer batteries, I'd recommend ditching it and using a J-Cell for it's longer life
