Just back from 15 days in Roatan. First week at Luna Beach Resort near West End and diving with Luna's dive shop. Accomodations in the 3 bdrm house were great and Luna has a great location. Luna's dive op was first rate and a great place for my newly certified girlfriend to dive with. Wolfgang (dive shop mngr) and his DMs were very professional and helpful. Dining service at Luna is terrible so go elsewhere for the eats. Check tripadvisor.com in a couple of days for my full review of Luna
Second stayed at Sante Wellness Center on the South shore, unfortunately diving is no longer a convenient affair at this great bed & breakfast/boutique spa. (Great surface interval for the ladies out there; I guess guys too.) However, we did dive with Dockside Dive Shop/Coco View Resort. Marc (dive shop mngr) and Liz (CCV mngr) accomodated us, despite CCV being booked that week. We never felt like the resort or the boats were too crowded. My girlfriend completed her AOW with Marc and he was an excellent instructor. I highly recommend CCV's dive op and would consider staying there as well. However, it really is nice to have all the great dining options that exist in West End. Each dinner in the West End was fantastic! Also, we tried to dive with Subway watersports out of Turquoise bay, but the weather was not dive friendly on the North shore 3/5-3/7 (several dive ops were affected).
