I purchased a couple of bungee mounts from DSS and would like to start using them. The first one was for the SK7 compass which was successfully released from the original boot after a short immersion into hot water. The second one is for the Elite T3 which looks quite problematic. Can somebody share his experience on removing the original boot?

Thank you.

Just take a screwdriver and work the boot off, but do it EASY, don't pry too hard.

Soaking it in hot water to soften the boot up doesn't hurt either.
