Can anyone describe the procedure for removing the coverplate from the Atx reg? I have the Atx200 and Atx40. Regs were purchased from Simply Scuba in the UK, Apeks sent me the parts directly. I wish to avoid paying a local dealer to replace covers. Looks simple enough, can covers be unscrewed with purge button in place or do they have to be removed in order to get covers off? I realize if I would have bought locally I would not have to deal with this, but for less than half of what my LDS wanted I purchased from simply scuba. Thanks

Nothing to it, just put your palm flat against the cover and turn counter-clockwise. If it's really tight, then you may need to employ something else to get a good grip on it, but there's really nothing to it.

Yup, nuttin' to it. Purge stays in place. Go ahead and take the diaphram out to look at the guts while you're at it. With the diaphram out, turn the venturi switch and you can see what it's all about. Just take it easy, they're very simple gizmos.
