Replacement Petrel bungiee tabs

Is there somewhere we can order replacement rubber bungiee adaptor tabs for the Petrel? One of mine has started stretching enough for otherwise very thick knotted cord to pop through when I'm getting it over suit rings. I think this has more to do with me putting too much stress on the tab than is necessary, but I want to try a new approach (slightly longer and thinner/more elastic bungiee with a bigger retention knot) with fresh adaptor tabs.

Anyone think strips of kydex would make a workable replacement for the rubber/fiber tabs it came with?
