Hi all! I need some help -

A few months ago I misplaced the diffuser for my WPDC28 G10 underwater housing - terribly annoying! I have been trying to find out for a while from local stores if Canon sells them separately or if there's some way of getting one - no one seems to know. It's winter here in NZ and I haven't been diving lately, but I will be overseas in 3 weeks and I really need it before then!!

Does anyone know where to find them, or have a spare, or some kind of easy way of building one.... though come to think of it I wouldn't know how to build one.

Please help me!

Thanks so much

Gabby

How about cutting a similar size diffuser from a Milk jug and punching a hole at the corner to accept the lanyard.

I did just this for an Ikelite strobe and it works fine.

Awesome idea! I will definitely give that a try, at least as a temporary solution. It wouldn't be quite thick enough to click into place like the canon diffuser... but it's better than having no diffuser and a massive shadow on my shots!

You can cut a piece of plexiglass and then sand it on both sides. I works rather well, and you can make it as opaque as you like.

Where does one find plexiglass? And how do you cut it? I'm not the most technically capable person in the world but would be willing to try anything as long as it doesn't require powertools I don't own....

Many harware stores have it. You can also look for "Plastics Supply" in the phone book. You could prob. find a scrap of white opaque plastic that would work perfectly. Something soft so you could cut it with a knife/razor and sand edges.
