I've got a DUI drysuit with thigh pockets. I don't know if they were factory installed or not, but they've reached the end of their useful life.

One of them, the entire side of the pocket is ripped. If I clip anything to the interior d-ring, it just dangles out of the ripped part of the pocket.

On the other side, it's starting to rip.

I could try to stitch it up (doesn't have to be pretty, just needs to work) but the nylon material seems like it would just rip at wherever I stitch it next anyway.

It's a trilam suit. It seems like any kind of heat would hurt the suit before it weakened any of the glue.

Maybe I should just cut the edges off the pocket off and glue another one on top of the remnants of the original pockets?

Anyone done anything similar?
