My current frameless mask is old, brittle, and ready to be replaced. My prescription (-4, -6) also needs updating....

I've just tried on a Scubapro Frameless for the first time and loved it. If I get lenses bonded into that mask, does anyone know if I could have them "unbonded" & replaced a few years down the road if my prescription changes substantially (as it seems to have chnaged quite a bit in the last few years...)? Or, should I buy a mask w/ frame & two separate lenses so that they can be replaced without bonding/unbonding?

Buy the frame and separate lens in this case. Unfortunately it is a little harder to remove the custom ground inserts and replace them than to grind new lenses and snap them in.

You are much better off with separate (prescription) lenses for the mask:

- your prescription WILL change. Not a matter of IF, but WHEN.

- if done properly, the prescription will be adjusted for underwater optics. This will give you better viewing u/w than simply gluing in what you have in your glasses above water.
