Has anyone seen this lifesaving device in operation? it seems like an upgrade on the old flotation device.

I am wondering if these couldn't be used on every dive boat to pull in divers that just drifted and are tired.

My husbands family is from Warwick, near Giant strides LDS. Do you use this LDS or another one for your rescue training?

I use Kalipso in Smithfield where I also help out as a Divemaster. As far as rescue training, I am a certified water rescue, swiftwater rescue, and ice rescue instructor and work for a company based in Maine.
That is not a bad idea using it to retrieve tire divers, just curious what the cost is. As soon as you label something for rescue it doubles the price.
