Does a first stage has an upright position ?
I have a jetstream, I was just looking at it to discover that if I change the position of my second stage from left to right, then I would connect the regulator to the tank upside down compared to the current setup... does this make any difference?

It is just a hypothetical question but I am curious to know if the first stage orientation would differ :cool2:

In your case No.
Poseidons don't have an up or down, being a side exhaust reg.they can be used in either position.

Hope it helps.:D

I've never seen one where you MUST have it in a certain direction, though with many/most there is an "obvious" choice. (Not always indicated by how the manufacturer ships/marks it or how your shop sets it up.)

Gee I read 2nd stage.And for a Poseidin 1st stage it still wouldn't matter.

Maybe OP can clear this up.:D

Oops - hadn't realized that the OP didn't plan on swapping which side the 2nd stage came off of...

...Poseidons have a special, dedicated 1st-stage LP port designed to be used with your primary 2nd-stage (look on the 1st-stage for the LP port labeled with an "R")...so for best performance, whatever you do, whatever it takes (upside-down or right-side up) make sure the primary 1st-stage is connected to that "R" LP port. And no, the reg's performance isn't affected by the orientation of the 1st-stage.

Thanks All, I couldn't find an "R" on the first stage, and I was the one to assemble my reg from the box.. The first stage had one plastic cap over one LP port and the rest were metal so obviously this was the port intended for the second stage attachment and it is what I did and still doing :)
But anyway it is obvious that whether the first stage is upright or reversed it has no effect on the reg performance...

Best positioning is the one that offers comfort (doesn't bang into the back of your head) and also the most streamlinged profle (least likely to entangle).
