I spotted this fish on Koh Bida Nok near Koh Phi Phi on a recent dive there. I can't seem to spot anything similar in my ID books, so I'm stumped.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks!

It's a rabbitfish (Siganus javus).

Excellent!

Many thanks. I see the resemblance now. In the "Reef Fish Identification: Tropical Pacific" the picture is more from the side and the dorsal fin is more "flared' in the picture, so I didn't catch it.

Thanks for the help.
