Hey gang (fist-bump, high five)! We're Astazia & Richard aka Ric & Taz from Moreno Valley, CA. We both love to dive, and learned and got certified in Cozumel about 4 years ago. We'd been on a cruise the year before and our time there was spent snorkeling. I'd been several times to other places but Ric, my husband hadn't ever done it before. After that he was HOOKED! We also loved our guide. It was a small boat just us and another couple and their daughter, so we got to know him fairly well. He was extra attentive to Ric who is legally blind and sought out larger things so he could see them up close. Took him under his wing so to speak so that's why we chose for him to do our diving instruction and take us on our dives and having only tried it a little at first in the pool made us realize how cool it could be when we got to take our qualifying dives. We were so stoked...and we passed the test, and when we hit the reefs it was like another world, and it became our passion. The best vacations are those you never forget, and not only will we not forget it, we'll be able to share something we can both enjoy fully. What I mean when I say that is that with my bad knee, and his eyesight being so poor, we both can do this amazing activity together, and get the same mouth dropping experiences, as partners.
The "Awoo Crew" are our four wolf-dogs that share our lives, and whom re refer to as "our four legged children".
I'll write more later, Ric and a friend are playing guitars and I want to sing along... so for now we're in our mid 50s,
Ric is an educator, I am an independent consultant on wolf
dogs and animal rescue, and we LOVE TO DIVE!!!!

(PS) if anyone knows of a good dive operation in
Roatan, Honduras, & Belize let us know. We only have
a week in April and thought we'd take a cruise and get
some reef-er madness flowing.
