Phil and I hadn't dove the barge in quite awhile. We purposely went last Thursday so I could spend some time futzing around with my wide angle set-up. With every visit over the years, there are larger holes on top and more of the walls have peeled away. I didn't think to document more of its deterioration as I became preoccupied with a school of black croakers and ran out of time.
We used to find uncommon nudis on the sides near the top, but now the sides are caving in.
Black croakers
Metridium senile
A couple days before this, we dove Haggerty's crane where garibaldi males are guarding their new nests. Vis at both sites was ~8', but we saw croakers here too, with a few rubberlips tagging along. I tried some trick shots.
