Hey everybody!

I´m looking for a new BC and has got my mind set on a small wing, which can be used in the hard Scandinavian waters as well as for dive trips to warmer waters. Yesterday I encountered Red Tech wings and they seemed very nice; However, I have never seen anybody dive with them, so I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this brand?

They have a patented "quick slide system" which seems rather good when adjusting the harness - any thoughts or expriences?

Any alternatives? I would like a simple light weight wing, but I am not interested in backplates as i switch a lot between wet and drysuits....

You can find red tech here: www.redtech.hr

Cheers

Do you REALLY want to dive with wings that have metal d-rings attached that could snag on things and make it impossible for you to solve your problem?

There are a lot of good systems out there. I don't think this is one of them.

And why not, only a fool could get a D Ring snagged and not be able to sort it. Good job they dont have bungy cords around the wing or you would be going straight to hell for even suggesting one:light:

Look at the OMS IQ pac an an alternate

There appear to be a lot of fools in SCUBA...

Are you suggesting that its foolish to have a BC/Wing with Stainless D-rings, or foolish to have a BC/wing with any D-rings?

If you have no D-rings then where do you clip off your oversized ego?

I think he's talking about the small D-rings attached to the wing itself, not about the ones in the harness, allthough there seems to be enough of them to clip all the tanks from an avarage liveboard boat;)
