Hey all!

We have posted a few u/w pics from our trip last month to the Red Sea. When on the website, just go to the Red Sea 2002 Digital photos.

Like Dee, we also have an Olympus 4040 in a PT0101 housing. However, we use the new Ikelite DS 125 Sunstrobe.

The other great part is that many of the higher res versions will be added to our ever-growing u/w photo wall; thanks to our new Epson Photo1280. No more having to have slides scanned then printed through an outside source! :)

Meanwhile, Pearce has already purchased the wide angle adaptor for the housing. He is also looking into setting up for DUAL strobes. <sighs heavily> MORE gear?!?!?!?!

Cool photos...Pearce did very well!

The Fairy Basslets in the Red Sea sure look different than the ones in Honduras.

2nd strobe, huh? hehehe

Thanks for shariing...

I was going to give up on the "Dee & Pearce Conspiracy Theory" but given that LAST remark.... Hmmm....

Yes, the "Fairy Basslets" (in this case it was a Jewel Fairy Basslet) in the Red Sea certainly look different from those in the Caribbean. There are many similar fish species, but they have (locally) different names. For example, the ones they call "Dottybacks" in the Red Sea seem to be called "Gobies" in the Caribbean.

"A rose by any other name...."???
