I'm looking to dive the Red Sea sometime in June or July 2017. I am graduating university and my parents have offered up air miles for flights, but I'd have to pay for the rest. Ideally I'd like to keep it under $2,500USD for two weeks of diving (I was think one week live aboard and one week land based).

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear suggestions on dive operators and locations. I am up for pretty much any kind of diving. I'm a tech diver and avid photographer so a mix of both types of diving would be nice. Any suggestions on the best tech sites?

Thanks in advance.

If you can get to the Uk , book a package with an operator such as Blue O 2. Book a weeks liveaboard , ideally including Daedalus and the Brothers and then stay on for a second week.

However probably the cheapest diving will be from Sharm , you may end to go via Cairo or Istanbul. There are masses if hotels and dive shops there, business is bery slow at present. You should be able to do day trips for a very reasonable price.

Enjoy the Red Sea , we love it .

Hi Shinythings!!

Congrats on your upcoming graduation! You should definitely be able to dive Egypt for 2 weeks on your budget. In fact, nearly every liveaboard on our site is under $1000 for one week. The King Snefro 6, the MY Amelia and the MV Emperor Elite are all popular choices.

Sharm is going to offer the most affordable land-based diving out there, and there are plenty of tec wrecks to find nearby. You might particularly enjoy the Wreck of the Lara, Thomas Canyon or Yolanda Plateau.

Hurghada may be a second option for you. There you’ll find Small Giftun and the Wreck of Gulf Fleet.

Good luck with you final semester, and in the meantime, happy diving!

i paid 750 usd for a week on a liveaboard out of hurghada. you should be able to fit 2 weeks liveaboard on your budget no problem.
