Im a fairly new diver and was wondering about the red sea. My LDS is having a trip in Feb to Egypt for 7 days (6 diving, last day to vent off before the flight). They are really hyping it up, but its 1300. Everything is included, hotel, rentals, food, plane, etc. My only problem is that I do not know if this is a good trip. I don't make alot of money (in the military) so this would take some budgeting with the holidays coming up. My AEF cycle is due then so I may have to deploy and not even get to go. Would you take up this trip?

Short answer:
Yes

I´ve done 4 different liveaboards in the Red Sea and the memories from each one are priceless...

Without having a currency your 1300 is hard to comment on...

US dollars, Ill find out more of the details on Tuesday.

1300.00 US dollars???? for everything? diving/hotel..etc!?

Why are you still here???? Go for it, you will not regret it. Egypt is a wonderful place, diving is great, amazing history (a few years :D) and is for sure a place you will always remember.

Well, I had dinner with my Fundies instructor the other night. This is a man who has dived around the world, in caves, on wrecks . . . And we asked him, "If there were one place you could dive, where would it be?" And his answer, after very little thought, was the Red Sea.

I would consider that a superb recommendation.

Do the budgeting.
