I will be in Aruba in Novemebr and plan to get in several dives. Does anyone have any knowledge of the Dive Shop above, I was hoping to take a specialty course while there, and wanted to know something about their instructors/instruction.

Thanks for any help.

Go with Dive Aruba, Clive Paula is the owner you will be more than satisfied with him. All my and my friends experiences with Red Sail have been disasters I find them lacking in every catagory that's important to my diving.

I have dove with Red Sail Sports in November 2006 and had a good experience. Not a great one but not horrible. If I went down to Aruba again I would probably go with someone else. I expect a lot better now.

Go with Emmit at Unique or Clive at Dive Aruba. Red Sail runs a cattleboat operation.

Red Sail is the "cattle boat" operator for many of the big resorts and also gets all the cruise boat customers.... Some good reports, but lots of negative reports about Red Sail. Mostly cattle boat comments.

do as the others say, go with Dive Aruba with Clive or Unique.

I used Pelican (now owned by Unique) and was happy. I've never heard anyone ever say a negative thing about Clive at Dive Aruba.

We dove with Unique, it was nice we stayed at the Holiday Inn sunspree and they picked us up right at the pier there, litterly a 3 min walk from my room to the dock there boat picked me up there and dropped me off there at the end of the day.

I'd like to point out that the pier he's talking about had a good restaurant on it. It was good for an after dive burger and beer. Also nice for dinner as you got great sunset views.

It used to be called Pelicans nest, but they might have renamed it after Pelican Watersports was bought by Unique.

It is still called Pelican Pier, Really nice place... Really nice operators.. The week i was their the one day i was the only diver on the boat.. Which was nice they came equipped for 4 divers...3 had not shown up so Me and the DM went through all 6 sets of tanks and had a blast.

We also bought there 7 dive package $250 USD for 7 dives i felt was fine with me.
