you can't expect to shoot crappy exposed video to suddenly save it via magic software.

Use the best tools you have on the front end of shooting, like filters or lighting, then only tweek or don't even touch it in post.

You can instantly tell when people push the exposure too far in post, like pink sand or purple "deep blue sea".
 
I have gopro hero3 black. I dive with red filter but depending on light and depth. You can't go wrong having a red filter for 45 feet and below....especially if it is not a bright sunny day.
