recording jet skis

Hi guys, I have a quick question, did anyone here has any experience in filming jet skis in action, I have a few friends that have jet skis and are challenging me to go with them and record them . I'll be in the water with my camcorder and they'll be doing their stuns around me while I'll be recording.
Does anyone has any experience in doing this and what are the safety precautions I have take .

Boy sound like fun. I've filmed my friends down hill mountain biking thats as close as I can get. Now I would like to know what they plan on doing? One thing that might be cool is using a helmet cam that one of them could wear. Now if you have to be up close knowing what they are plaining is going to be the best and always have a way out. Make sure you have an smb with you for those underwater, over the top clips. This way they will know where you are but be careful that your line doesn't get caught up by the skis.
