I'm taking my wife on a 1 week vacation in February but I haven't decided where to go. Would anyone have recommendations on great locations in Asia to snorkel at in February? We discovered the wonders of snorkeling 2 years ago (can't dive) and have snorkeled at the Similan Islands, Phuket, Bali, Menjangan Island, and all of the Hawaiian Islands (awesome). We're hoping to try a new location but I'm not too sure what's best in February. We'll be flying out of Tokyo and would like to stay within Asia.
I've read that Sulawesi, Fiji, and Cebu are nice destinations in February. What are your thoughts on premium destinations with lots of fish for snorkelers? Of the above listed locations, we found that Menjangan off the coast of Bali was the best snorkeling thus far (or Tunnels beach in Kauai). We're young, active, and price isn't too much of a concern if the destination is remote. I've also considered the Great Barrier Reef but I've read that it's hurricane season in February. Please give me your recommendations as we'll be celebrating our 7th honeymoon! Thank you very much in advance! :cool2:
