Can anyone recommend an instructor for Trimix in the Lake Ontario or Brockville area, eh?

Give Mar Smith a call. She is from London but travels to your area all the time for courses.
Her web site is Home | Dive With Mar
I have done several courses with her and now DM for her. A very good instructor.
Give Kevin from Seeway Vision Dive Charters in Brockville a call, he coordinates courses with her.

Thanks for the info on Mar Smith, Ontreckdiver, I didn't know about her.

There's also Kris Gregroire at Diver Tech, Mallorytown (near Brockville). Dive Tech Training Centre - Staff Information

I am back teaching in that area... contact me if you would like to talk.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

But I think I need to put off Trimix until next year.

I just returned from my advanced Nitrox/Deco while cave diving in northern Florida. I had a bit of a tough time dealing the with high flow cave systems, and at the same time keeping the light from getting tangled in the deco bottle hose, and keeping to my ascent and deco schedule, all in the darkness of the caves.

And that was with just one deco bottle and bare hands in warm water. Not sure I'm ready to handle multiple stage bottles with dry gloves in cold water -- just yet.

Next year.

My suggestion for a trimix instructor would be Capt S.hitacular if you can locate him.

Stephane joliceour (tekdiv.com) is a good trimix instructor as well. Nice thing is he regularly goes out wiht students past and present and future for training dives with multiple stages etc.. So it ends up being more than a couple day course. He has a house in brockville where he teaches out of and you can stay there as well. Pretty sweet.

Cant go wrong with doppler as well all t epeople i know who have trained with him have very good comments
