Will be in Fiji in July, and I'm looking for a budget hotel. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, has anyone heard of the Nadi Hotel, which is supposedly located in town? Any feedback will be appreciated.

With only 2 posts under your name, I'd highly suggest doing a search.........

What is budget to you? $10 a night, $25, $50?

To be honest, get out of nadi as fast as you can, because Nadi ain't "fiji"

There are many places that get you food and meals for $100 USD a day.

You get what you pay for, but there are many good backpacker places along the southern coral coast down and along to Pacific Harbour.

Thanks for your imput. I've been to Fiji before and am going for a week on the Agressor, but before doing so I want to spend as little as possible on a room. My primary objective is to do various things on the island before the diving, and that is why I was looking in Nadi itself for cheap housing. However, I do have my limits...no bugs, running water necessary, safety is a must and be close to various forms of transportation.

Maybe Naigani - brilliant close by diving - not too syre about room rates. Failing that the Raki Raki hotel is cheap with diving close by at Nananu I Ra. There are some backpackers options on Nananu I Ra Island which has some of the best diving in Fiji in the Bligh Waters. Maybe search for Betham's Beach cottages (there are a few backpackers places on Nananu- I Ra.

Good luck

Thanks all.

I booked at some place called Sandalwood Lodge. Sounds good in everything I've read so far. Any of you have any experiences or opinions?
