Question Recommendations for Egypt Hotel/Dive Shop

Hi,

I will be travelling to egypt with a friend this November. We are relatively inexperienced (I have about 150 dives logged, he has about 20ish, both AOWD&Nitrox) and are looking for easy relaxed vacation diving.

We have been to The Breakers (Soma Bay) last year and enjoyed it very much, especially due to the following aspects:

• adults only / easy for single travellers to meet and socialize with other divers
• professional dive shop close by (ORCA base directly on the hotel grounds)

We are looking for an alternative that comes close to that experience, but we'd like to go somewhere else and try out new dive spots etc., so trying to avoid doing the obvious and returning to The Breakers.

I would be grateful for recommendations

Alternative to the Breakers coming close? That's not easy....
But have a look at Marsa Shagra (i know i recommend it quite often...). There is even less entertainement than at the Breakers, agreed and it may look a bit basic. But food and accommodation are great. And it has the advantage that you can easily dive from shore or from zodiac. The number of tanks you use per day is not limited...
