Planning a trip to Dominica in December and want to do some diving there -- any recommendations for Roseau area dive operators?

Unfortunately I don't but I do have a great shore excursion for you to do ask for a cab driver called ozzy and if you can find him he is awesome if not all the cab drivers know Mr. Nice look him up on trip advisor I had an amazing experience when I went to see him we left he doesn't charge anything but does advise you that donations are welcome in a coconut that's hanging from the ceiling it is about a 1hr long demonstration that he does and the fruits are amazing.
And for another thing if you go out to the little mountain that's connected by a thin strip of land and climb it
I managed to make it to the top the view is spectacular and look for the old cannon on the Inland mountain side is not marked but it is there I found it by accident
Dominica is one of my most favourite islands in the carribean it's not very popular and that's why I like it so much
Have fun be safe
Oh don't forget the champagne springs if you can handle the heat it's very nice

KathyV recently posted a request for a status report on Dominica. Tursiops replied:

"I just spent Feb 20-27 there with a group of ten. Other than the fact that Buddy Dive at the Fort Young Hotel now has only one boat (the other was demolished by Ericka) and the road from the airport to Roseau has some pretty poor stretches caused by water over the road, there is little sign that the storm took place. The road is being repaired, BD is getting a new boat, and the minor amounts of sand on reefs will go away, as it always has. The diving was great fun: we saw flying gurnards and short-nose batfish on shore dives right in front of the Fort Young Hotel, where we stayed. the boat took us to some quite good diving. Our entire group arrived in SJU from various places (MIA, CLT, PHL) and we flew to Dominica on Seaborne, code-shared with American. (Not all the luggage arrived with us.) It was a one-day trip from the DC area to Dominica, same going home. No overnights needed. Restaurant Tip: "Are You Hungry??" Chinese restaurant, near the Fort Young."

In case it's of use to you, here are links to some old threads on Dominica that might be helpful to you.

Dominica…everything I should know but don’t -

I was surprised by how nice the diving was in Dominica. Excellent! -

Dominica Recommendations?

Perhaps someone will have discussed a preferred dive op. on one of them?

Richard.

P.S.: Never been there. If you go, please post a trip report. It's one of those 'maybe someday' places on my radar.
