Hi...My husband and I had a fantastic time at Reef House Resort in Honduras a few years ago. We are looking to do another vacation with the same feel...small resort, all inclusive, lots of diving. Any suggestions?

We are late 30's, avid divers with 400+ dives each. Vacation is scheduled for August/September...a week or so. Flying from Florida, North Carolina, or NYC...looking at the Caribbean or South/Central America. However, he has been to tons of places and I haven't, so I'd like to go to somewhere 'new,' not Roatan again, though it was incredible. I'd kind of like to do Bermuda, but I'd like to be able to pay my mortgage as well. :) Ignoring airfare, I'd like to keep the per person rate to under $1500 (lower is always acceptable!).

Hotel Cozumel...great diving and all-inclusive.

I have to disagree Dhboner - Hotel Cozumel is huge, not at all like Reef House in Roatan! Also, Hotel Cozumel all-inclusive meals means buffet line of pre-prepared food instead of off a menu-made to order meals.

My rec:
Scuba Club Cozumel.....Cozumel Scuba Diving at Scuba Club Cozumel Dive Resort and Scuba Cozumel Dive Shop
It has 61 rooms, so a bit bigger than Reef House, but similar atmosphere, only divers there, and breakfast is buffet but lunch and dinner are off a menu.

We are heading back there again next month. :D

Little Cayman Beach Resort or Southern Cross Club (also Little Cayman.) You are going around the peak of hurricane season, so would be taking a chance on weather, but they also tend to offer deals then. There's much to be said for Bonaire or Curacao that time of year since they're pretty much out of the hurricane belt, but few dive resorts that both fit your budget and style, that I would want to eat at all week. But some places it just doesn't make sense to do food-inclusive packages.

As far as Bermuda, aside from expense, AFAIK you won't find the dive resort/lots of convenient diving experience there.

A great resort that is private and small with plenty of diving is the Villa on Dunbar Rock in Guanaja. Its near Roatan but the diving is wonderful

If you'd like a place where the diving is very good, and the environment different from everywhere else, try Castle Comfort, Roseau, Dominica. It is not an AI. However, breakfast is part of the plan. Lunch and dinner are available at the resort, or at any of several nearby restaurants. Dive op was superb and the shore diving a revelation.
