Hi,
I have a sea and sea dx-3000g camera and a ys-25 strobe. Each runs on 2 AA batteries. I'm tired of throwing out batteries each time and wanted to try rechargeable batteries. I know absolutely nothing about battery technology. Can someone recommend a good "unit", meaning name of charger and batteries.
Thanks, Stas

Take a look at his charger which came highly recommended on ScubaBoard. I just bought two and I believe DandyDon also bought one.

For batteies you mignt want to consider the following AA NiMh batteries

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/maha_2700_rechargeable_batteries.php

I just ordered from this company for the first time based on a recommendation here on ScubaBoard.

I had placed a large order (NuMh C cells, Maha NuMh AAs, chargers etc) and had one dead battery. I called the company back and they apologized for the dead battery and sent a new one and told me to just dispose of the bad one.

Based on this one dealing with this comany I am very satisfied.

I 2nd the motion for Thomas Distributing. I've purchased from them a number of times, great company to deal with.

for charger, i highly recomend a maha, same place, but different model.. mh-c9000 .. a little more $, but does a lot more, each battery is independant, lcd tells you the actual capacity of each battery etc.

for the batterys... the maha 2700's are great.
