I'm interested in scuba but at this time with being in college I don't have the money to become certified and take the dive trips. I'm going on a cruise in august and we'll be in cozumel for one day from 12 noon to 10pm. I'd like to go on a boat tour that takes you to 3+ snorkeling spots. Does anyone know of a snorkel trip they could reccomend, also what are the best spots to snorkel based on corals and fish. I'm big into reef tanks, I have a 75 gal with about 25 different hard corals including many acropora and montipora. Thanks in advance plus I'm sure snorkeling is kinda taboo at a scuba dedicated site.

Look up Manta tours I think its called.
DONT go with Fury unless you want to spend the day with about 50 other people. We had the whole catamaran to ourselves 6 of us for the entire afternoon. They crew turned the 2 and half hour trip into nearly 5 hours we had such a good time. They did a great job. Caution: wear at least a 2/3 wetsuit or diveskin if you dont cold easy. The water is 78 but it does get cold after a bit.
Have Fun

Well they look great, their website is mantadivers.com but it says their snorkeling trip leaves at like 8am and we don't get to cozumel till about 12noon. I'm contacting them to see if it would be possible to get one that leaves at about 1-2pm. Any other suggestions?

Try This Site

Try this site... it has a whole section devoted to Cruise Ship passengers. It's not as scuba focused and can give you advice on other things to do as well.

Click on Discussions to get to the forums. Most people there will tell you to go to the beach clubs (like Dzul-Ha or Chankanaab) and snorkel from shore.

Hope that helps
Jeff
