Hi, just signed up after lurking as a reader for awhile. I was mostly looking for info on becoming a competent diver after not really feeling assured after opw certification, and a subsequent refresher. I was looking for a more immersive course and found many posts about fundies, and it sounded just like what I was searching for. So I went for the full 4 days and just got back with a rec pass and omg I feel so ready to dive with confidence now. I definitely see there's a long road for gaining experience and further training, but it feels good to finally feel confident underwater and know how to plan minimum gas, minimum descent profiles, and share gas if an oog scenario should occur. Not to mention I have a decent back kick now too. Not bragging just extremely happy and exhausted too. Thanks to all the great content for newbs like myself to read and learn from others experiences, this community and it's archives is fantastic 😍

If you've got a decent back - kick after 25-49 dives you will go far
Well, decent may be relative, it's not pretty but I can keep my position in the water column and follow lines in reverse, most of the time. :D

At Morrison Springs I found that the combination of a mild current + more restrictive space for whatever reason made back kicking more difficult, largely for mental reasons, I can feel nerves & body tighten when I'm concerned about smacking things.
