Any suggestions for some good reading on the topic of tech diving, specifically things like understanding gradient factors, mixes, practices etc. I have read Steve Lewis' Staying Alive, looking for some others as I try and build on my training to learn and understand more about technical diving.

Caverns Measureless to Man. It does not go into things like deco theory, gradient factors, etc but if it doesn't get your juices flowing, there's something wrong.

For CCR, Mel Clarks three books are fabulous
CCR “Simplified” Manual | Silent Scuba

Books - Cave Diving Articles & Opinions + The Taming of the Slough - NSS-CDS
That, cave specific but good.

Bunch of others, but that will keep you busy for a while

Even though it's for rebreathers, "Mastering Rebreathers" by Jeff Bozanic is a great read and resource.

Kensuf thanks, I have actually read that, and it was very good. It actually made me want to peruse cave diving. I gave it to a friend and after he read it I had to convince him not to sell his dive gear. LOL

I really enjoyed Deeper Into Diving by Lippam and Mitchell for a good discussion on human physiology and diving. Deco for Divers was good too. I have an old IANTD Technical Diver Encyclopedia that I enjoyed.

For information on deep stops the UHMS Deep Stops Workshop proceedings are great. Also, DAN did a deep stops workshop the same year (2008) and I think those videos are all online. Also online (or they used to be) were the Rebreather Forum 3.0 presentations, which you could watch a dozen times and still learn new things about technical diving issues.

As mentioned above, tons of studies are on the Rubicon Foundation site.

If you want to learn about regulators Regulator Savvy is the book.
