First time on a cruise - kind of a familiarization trip for my daughter and I to see what it is like. Wife's not a diver and isn't going this time, so daughter and I will be able to get a couple dives in. Planning to dive in Cozumel and Grand Cayman.
Debating the ship's excursion or go with a dive shop on our own in Cozumel; schedule says docked 7am - 4pm, so there should be plenty of time for a morning 2-tank trip. We've been to Cozumel and would enjoy diving with a smaller group so the cruise ship excursion has me concerned, but I would like to not have to worry about missing the dive boat or the cruise ship. I'm wondering how many divers will be on the ship in January - does anyone have any idea if the dive excursions are less crowded in January?
Most likely will visit Sunset House in Grand Cayman since so close for an easy shore dive and that would give us a chance to check it out as a possible future dive vacation spot since we've never been to the Cayman Islands.
Any other divers going on this cruise out of New Orleans?
