my dive shop is offering a discount sale price of 600$ for the Zeagle ranger. but im more interested in the Zeagle LTD, which would cost me around 1000$ CDN. would it be worth the extra 400$ or not? what does the LTD have that the normal ranger doesn't have that makes it worth 400$ more

I think the differences include extra padding and D-rings, plus a roll down pocket on the cumberbund. Not a big issue for me - I cut out the padding on my LTD. It a good BC, unless you travel (it is a bit big and heavy).

color difference, i think extra pockets and a little more padding, and an extra dump valve on the shoulder i think are about the main differences

Rangers are made in China. LTDs are made in the USA. Look at the label inside the harness. Lower right-hand corner.

......just wondering why you're more interested in the 'LTD' version in the first place as to be more interested in the 'LTD' implies you already know all about it.....if you truely don't know the difference, then right now you should be indifferent between them and not yet prefer either model...just sayin'.......:) ...also, your LDS should explain the product differences to you.....otherwise, why bother to buy retail and pay retail prices unless you are getting customer 'service' (advice) along with the product ?

Did you get yours from Leisure Pro? Because my wife's and my Rangers say "Made in USA" Of course we got them from our LDS who ordered them from Scott directly

i mostly only want to find out, is the 400$ extra worth it for the LDS...

I don't think it is. I have a Ranger, my buddy has a Ranger LTD. The extras aren't worth $400 to me

Zeagle started production overseas a few years back. They continue to make *some* products in the states. They can service all products in the states I believe.

I know their LTD models are made in the US. My Stiletto is made in the USA, but only because it's maybe 4 years old.

I have seen the foreign line, and they look every bit as well made as those made in the states.

Scott indicated one big reason they went over seas was labor. Try and find anyone that knows how to sew (and willing to do that full time) in the USA. Apparently next to impossible, or at least in Zephyrhills anyway.
