A friend of mine and I made a fast and furious trip to Scuba Toys yesterday. You know how it is when that shop for scuba gear urge hits! I think we've both changed a bit since we saw each other last! He recognized my foot tattoo and I remembered his eyes! LOL! But I'm not gonna admit to any age changes! :rofl3:

It was nice to see ya, TL.....Hope everyone has a great time next weekend!

Dee, I spoke with Timeliner yesterday and he told me he saw you at ST, he said he really enjoyed seeing you.

It was fun to see you yesterday Dee !

You came from Houston and I came from Paris so collectively we traveled over 500 miles to experience the dive fantasy that is ScubaToys.

I spent more money in two hours then I would have on a week in Cozumel.
'Looks like no big blue water vacation for me.
(Ha !!!! ~ like that was ever going to happen :rofl3:)
I'm ready to drag the bottom of the lakes now and write stories that get me into trouble with the Dive Police again.

um, Scubatoys does ship to both Paris TX and Houston, TX, spend over $ 50 and it's free UPS ground freight...plus kinda surprised the Houston area wouldn't have sufficient local scuba shopping opportunities. :)

Houston doesn't have anything like Scubatoys. I visited the store last year while I was in the Dallas area. I sure wished I was buying instead of just looking.

Dee, what kind of goodies did you get? If I am ever looking for whole set of new gear, I know where I would be shopping.

Drag the bottom of the lakes? Sounds interesting. Is it something you can share, like the Paris tunnels? :)

The LDS here don't have near the inventory that ST does. When I want something I haven't had before I want to touch and feel it before I buy it. The shops here all give the same old line...."We'll be glad to order it for you." Yeah, I can order it for myself! I wanted to coon finger it before buying. The cost doesn't always figure in the decision of where to buy. Another reason the trip is worth it is the people there treat you like a valued customer, not an inconvenience. Sadly there's only 2 shops out of the dozen in the Houston area that I go to that even seem to care that you darkened their door, much less appreciate your business, and they don't have much inventory. I do support them whenever possible.

I had to replace my skins and wetsuits so I took advantage of their sale on the older Henderson Hyperstretch suits. I be stylin' now! :rofl3:

Time! Good to hear you are still around. I need to call some time.

Dee, question ??? "coon finger" ?? Hhmmm, that is a new term I need to ponder for a while.
