We where there in 2014 (land based).

We stayed there during off season so it was us and only a few other divers. Still the best diving we have ever done though... would go back in an instance if we could spare the money . Haven't seen that many fish and such nice reefs anywhere else.

Which airlines did ya'll use ? And which airport did you fly into?
Any recommendations on things to do outside of the diving?

For international: EVA Air to Jakarta
For domestic: Batik Air to Sorong
Other than diving, in Sorong & RA, I have done nothing.

Book a ticket to Jakarta or Singapore and then fly on a separate ticket from either of those places to Sorong. I prefer Garuda or Batik from Singapore or Jakarta. Don't try to price your ticket all the way to Sorong from where home is. If your nearest airport is not a hub or large airport, try to get a separate small ticket from your smaller local airport to a larger hub/gateway airport and price the flight to Singapore/Jakarta from there.

There's not really anything to do in Sorong or Raja Ampat outside of diving, IMO. There's some bird sightseeing and stuff but if you have time, maybe go see other historical places in Indonesia or go to Bali or go elsewhere to dive to pair it up with a Raja Ampat trip.
