Has anyone stayed with RA Dive Resort lately? The rates are very reasonable (Raja Ampat Dive Resort, Raja Ampat Diving,) but when I contacted Agus he suggested pre-payment for confirmation through Pay Pal account. I am a bit nervous about this, but at the same time want to guarantee the diving when I go. Also, the website shows accommodation at a hotel in Wasai but there are other web references to bungalows for the resort and higher cost so I am thinking maybe there was a recent change in operations. Agus says it is about 1/2hr boat ride to the Dampier Strait sites. Can anyone provide me more information? Is pre-payment the standard and can RA Dive Resort be trusted?

Hi seahorsevt,I haven't had the opportunity to dive RA with RADR, but I know the man (Agus and Andy), and they are trustworthy. Just keep the payment bill after you paid that pre-payment, just for your document.I don't know which place they are using for your accomodations, but as far as I know, their resort has just been built and now ready to operate. It's placed in Waisai, in Waigeo Island, 2 hours from Sorong.Which date are you planning to dive in RA? I'm about to dive RA with some of my friends in Feb 8-12, 2012. Maybe we can go together. The more, the merrier. :D

Did you dive with Raja Ampat Dive resort at last? I would like to go there, but I can't find any way of contact on the web. Could you give the email you used? And if you have been stayed there, how it was?
