Email us now for price details: info@thearenui.com or head to our website and facebook page: TheArenui.com and Fb/ArenuiBoutiqueLiveaboard

If you don't know the Arenui, read on for general info, but if you know us already then you know we offer fabulous accommodation on a truly beautiful, traditional "pirate ship"-style phinsi with 5 attentive dive guides, great chefs and even professonal masseuers! And you'll also know we book up really fast, so grab this space while you can!

In fact, this is the only Raja Ampat trip with space until December 2012 :shocked2: and in 2013 we're already totally full - so get in there quick and visit this stunning location in style!!! :cool2:

If you don't know much about Raja Ampat ... you should :eyebrow: as it's a world-class destination with unbelievable biodiversity and probably the most colourful reefs on the planet!!! It's certainly on most divers wish-list... quite possibly right at the top :D

ABOUT THE ARENUI:

The Arenui dive liveaboard is a traditional and magnificent Phinisi, a classic Indonesian wooden sailing vessel, set to explore the majestic underwater world of the Indonesian archipelago.

In fact, the Arenui is a work-of-art in itself. Plus, 70% of the wood used to build the Arenui is recycled wood. Take a look at our photos online to appreciate the unique style of our vessel.

To live up to our motto of being "The Boutique Liveaboard", attention has been given to every aspect of the Arenui to ensure that it fully embodies our philosophy of providing a unique dive holiday experience, giving you the best there is in terms of diving and leisure activities, without sacrificing any of the comforts and luxury you would expect to get from a 5 star hotel on land.

DIVING

When it comes to the dive itineraries, the Arenui has chosen the best dive sites and the best times of year to explore these world famous destinations. The Indonesian archipelago, located within the Coral Triangle, boasts the world’s highest marine biodiversity and offers unique diving. To showcase the best of Indonesia, we spend the May to October months mainly around the Komodo National Park area, taking in dive sites and landscapes from Bali right across to Flores and Alor. In November we move towards Ambon in Maluku and the Spice Islands in the Banda Sea, working our way to the Raja Ampat area of Western Papua to continue dive cruises from December through until April. In Indonesia, whether its nudibranchs and rhinopias you’re after, or manta rays and schooling fish, this region really has it all.

DIVING DETAILS

While diving around the Komodo National park, we enjoy excellent muck diving, but also outstanding pelagic action. We offer 7 to 13 night cruises, exploring all the popular dive spots such as Gili Lawa Laut, where we dive at Crystal Rock and Castle Rock (great opportunity to try out a ‘reef-hook’ dive, as you secure yourself to the rock and float in the current, watching the schooling fish and predator/prey action). Plus, we visit a dive site in the shadow of an active volcano to feel the bubbling hot springs, and take a stroll on land with Komodo’s giant lizard population. To sum up, these cruises are all about diversity, with exhilarating drift diving, interesting muck diving, encounters with pelagics (mantas, sharks, whale sharks, sunfish), macro attractions (pygmy seahorses, blue-ringed octopus, frogfish, ghost pipefish), shallow reefs, walls, pinnacles, seamounts, and pristine hard/soft corals.

The Raja Ampat season offers various 11 to 13 night cruises, taking in the major dive sites such as Manta Sandy (great for watching and interacting with mantas as they visit the cleaning station), Boo Windows (try out your photo skills at the ‘window’ as your dive-buddy swims through an opening in the submerged rock past a reef draped in soft corals and brimming with fish), Neptune’s Fan Sea (rush along a gulley in the current, past giant colourful gorgonian seafans) and Arborek Jetty (famous for pipefish, cuttlefish, octopus and giant clams, plus the newly discovered Pontohi pygmy seahorse). This area is known for its vibrant underwater colours but also its majestic landscapes, making it a perfect destination for keen photographers. The only problem with diving here is that you’ll be so spoiled by the near-perfect conditions that you may never want to leave.

ARENUI FAMILY

The whole operation is led by our 2 highly experienced western cruise directors, Jerry and Debbie.

Our 3 Indonesian divemasters (Ali, Toby and Wawan) are rated amongst the most knowledgeable in the region.
• Ali was trained for many years by Larry Smith (“the legend” of Indonesian’s diving industry)
• Wawan has spent several years diving Raja Ampat and Komodo
• Toby has an amazing knack for spotting rare critters (famous for being the first to spot the psychedelic frogfish in Ambon Bay)

We aim to make your cruise a truly relaxing and first-class experience! Guests will be looked after by 22 crew - serving a maximum of 16 guests - including 2 professional masseurs and 3 chefs (offering local and international gourmet meals, with vegetarian options on request). Most of the crew have vast experience working on other liveaboards operating in the Komodo and Raja Ampat areas, but prior to the Arenui’s very first cruise every member, of staff was trained so their skill and performance would meet our high standard of operation

RELAXATION

On the Arenui, all amenities, such as a full range of massage and spa treatments, are included with the intent to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible at all times. We believe that this individual service and our personalized touches on board will make your holiday an unforgettable one.

We also offer a range of leisure and recreational facilities such as 2 person kayaking, a professional on-board spa, computers setup for both PC and MAC systems (with photo editing software), as well as an extensive selection of books and movies in our library/entertainment center for your relaxing moments.

GASTRONOMY

We have given the same attention to making our meals extraordinary, from the setting to the décor and choice of dishes. Relax in our indoor restaurant or enjoy the view from our fabulous skydeck. Rather than the typical dive liveaboard buffets, you will be able to choose from our daily a-la-carte menus. We can easily cater to any special dietary needs. Arenui believes that, even when sailing around remote islands, there's no reason to forego fine dining! After all, a relaxing meal prepared with care and style is the best way to remain full of energy for the next dive!

ACCOMMODATION

Luxuriate in exceptionally spacious cabin, tastefully furnished with exquisite handicrafts from each of the Indonesian provinces. Each cabin, which far surpasses anything one would expect to find on a liveaboard, has a private en-suite bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning.

The Arenui can be your private sanctuary and second home, but one located amidst a constantly changing tropical landscape!
