I'm a Fish!
Hi Folks: with the rainy season falling upon us in our part of the world, most of the dive sites we have in Indonesia are out of season; either still diveable but not the best time to visit, or not dive-able at all.
However, there are some sites which happens to be their best season to dive.

Here to introduce 4 sites and their rates:

(1) GORONTALO DIVING
We are pleased to offer diving in the equatorial waters of Gorontalo. For divers this is a brand new dive destination on Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. Gorontalo Province lies along the northern coastline of the huge Tomini Bay. In much of eastern Gorontalo, towering limestone cliffs plunge directly into the sea, which were once ancient reefs. A narrow, shallow coral shelf rims the coastline. Often this shelf is only a few meters wide and bottoms out within a few meters of the surface where the wall begins. The coral walls of Gorontalo provide diving at par with other locations in North Sulawesi.
Because of its limestone base, the wall is highly eroded by natural forces. This makes for some of the most complex underwater rock formations found anywhere. The wall itself is chocked full of holes, crevasses, fissures, and shallow caves. The first wall bottoms out in the 30 to 40 meter range. The waters then fall to 120 meters before plunging again. While traveling to a dive site, divers pass over seas between 500 and 1,000 meters deep.
Tomini Bay itself is over 4,000 meters deep. Because of the extreme depth right off Gorontalo's coastline, cetaceans pass just off the wall, including the huge Sei whale, False killer whale, and pods of ghostly Risso's dolphin.
Dive sites pioneered in Gorontalo offers muck diving, wall diving, wreck diving, and multiple pinnacle diving. Numerous shallow caves and towering overhangs give divers an eerie but safe alternative. Our dive season starts from November to April.
Typically, we offer two-tank morning diving with your return to the Oasis in time for lunch. We can arrange diving to suit your needs and interests.

(2) Selayar Dive Resort
What is really special about the island of Selayar is its secluded position, far away from any mass tourism, in the Celebes sea in the South of the Indonesian island Sulawesi. A maritime national park was created in the middle of the Indo-Pacific, which is well known for its richness of species and makes diving a special experience. The whole east side of the island, where the resort is situated, is surrounded with a reef so that house reef diving gets a new dimenson.
The resort is sited on the southeastern end of the island, surrounded by rain forest, on a 1km long white sandy beach. The originality of the landscape around the resort was preserved, behind the resort rise huge primeval forest trees. We have 8 spacious bungalows with a veranda. Every guest has his own piece of beach in front of his door. Through a shaded glass front you have a fantastic view of palm trees and sea, even from your bed. The bathrooms with hot and cold water are equiped according to European standards. In the bungalows you have 220 V shock-proof sockets.
The dive sites, mostly steep walls, are full of overhangs and small caves, but also slopes and an underwater mountain are not far from the resort. With good reason we can say that through creating the naval national park, our dive sites offer a great variety of fish. Coral gardens cover walls and slopes. In no ocean of the world live more species than in the Indo-Pacific. So it’s no wonder, that you might see everything from pygmy seahorses to hammerheads under water. March/April you have the best chance to see big fish, especially hammerheads.
A typical dive in the resort is determined by the tides – no fixed times, nature influences our rhythm – fish are not interested in time. For that reason we always try to use the current to have an ideal underwater experience. In betweeen the dives, we offer twice a day, we usually retourn to the resort in order to make a surface break. Of course the staff look after the equipment. Every guest can plan further dives at the house reef from the beach which are of course free.
