Hello everyone!

I just got back from white water rafting in South Carolina. I LOVED IT! I've always enjoyed white water rafting...almost as much as scuba diving. Unfortunatly, I didn't get a chance to dive on my trip :( I'll just make up for it by diving on my days off from work :D

Hope I didn't miss anything too pivitol on SB.

we have a little river in Idaho called the Salmon, its a class V plus. You should give the multiday trip a try if you are really jazzed about rafting. Great food and one heck of a ride. Another one you can dive after you ride is the Payette.

That's awesome . Where exactly is that located?

Idaho, second from the left by the Pacific Ocean. Salmon River is located in the central portion of Idaho and if you look at a map it will be the area without any towns or roads. Many river boat trips start in Riggins, Id. and the raft trips start around Dagger Falls and continue for up to 7 days. I think the offices are in Mackay, Idaho. If you do a dogpile or google search for "Salmon River outfitters" you should get a few. One of the famous stops is Mackay Bar and I believe you can get some horses for a 1/2 day ride. Bring a fly fishing pole because some of these places are only accessable by boat and don't get much pressure.
If you like steelhead fishing go to hte Little Salmon outside of Riggins, Id. or Salmon, Id.

Have fun,

Dave

White water rafting is incredible isn’t it? My friend Kim (in picture with me and a fellow ff) and I went up to Tennessee a few years back & rafted the Ocoee. I don’t remember what class rapids they were (I think one was a class V). It definitely got the adrenaline pumping! I never thought I would like it but it was exhilarating! We ended up the weekend by doing some ultralite flying & horseback riding through the mountains. :D We might go to North Carolina to do some rafting at the beginning of June - pending if we can coordinate everyone's schedules!

lol Thank you Inspector. Where I did know where Idaho was located :eek:ut:, I didn't know where the river was. I'm definatly going to have to take a look at that for my next trip.
I really want to go on the 12 day rafting trip along the Colorado. There are some pretty intense rapids and it's just beautiful.
