I get fill cards, which makes it even cheaper.

Now that I do have a compressor... it's whatever the cost of diesel is, and since we reclaim a lot of diesel at work it's been free so far.

The waiting for it to pump @ 5cfm can be a little monotonous, but not having to drive 1 hr each way for fills makes up for it. When I'm done I'm done. My last "fill session" took about 3 hrs, that was my longest to date, but all my tanks were pretty low. An added bonus is getting "good" fills and not shorted. It's a pretty good feeling to jump in cold water and still see 37-3800 psi.

For the record, I'm still jealous of $3/air:)

Probably the best place to get hydros done in Tampa Bay area, IMHO, is Florida Underwater Sports in Saraosta. They do hydros in house, one of the few scuba shops that do around here. Turn around can be quick or it can be slow depends on scheduling. But they are scuba divers.

I don't remember the prices but it was in line with hydro prices around here.
