Hola,
I was in Mexico City for several days and Rock Star'd over to Cancun, caught the USA Transfer ride to Playa and was set for diving.....oh yea, Mexicana lost my luggage (both bags). Regardless, they found it and I was back in Mexico. Always dive with Jason at Fantasea Dive and this trip, while brief, was no exception. We dove on Thursday at Tortugas and Baracuda Reefs. Overall the water temperature was warmer than the air temp (cold front came in). Water was 75, air was 70. I wore a 3 mil wetsuit with no hood, although I brought one along, didn't need it. Visability was very good +90 feet. Lots of fish including: 4 - 5 very large Baracuda's, 1 turtle, several flounder, lobster, puffer looking fish (I think that is a species), Cubera Snapper (rascal was HUGE), etc. Reefs looked good and Jason and his group was excellent, as usual. Always nice diving with someone who loves to dive. Lot's of fun, but only one day. I'm pretty warm by nature so 3 mil was fine for me. A guy from Sweden who now lives in Playa was noticably cold with the cooler air temp.
Have a good one & thanks for reading.
