I added a round fob on the lower dump (sorry) to make finding the lower dump cord a bit easier when wearing heavy gloves and diving dry. I unscrewed the valve, attached the fob, and then put it back together ensuring the spring was seated in the retaining ring in the top of the seal and straight in the top part as well. I snugged the top portion down till it was tight and called it good. Is that the proper way tighten it?

TIA,

Mark

Funny, they come with one on them.......several people remove them<VBG> Another way of finding the rear dump with even the largest of dry gloves is to reach back with your left hand find the large plactic OPV and circle that with your index finger. after a few times you should be able to get the cord everytime....even without the fob<G>.As for answering your original questions, seems like you attached it properly. best, Bob

Another option would be to replace the supplied OPV with the one from DSS, which has a nice, thick piece of cord on it. Nothing the catch, but much easier to find.
