Usually when I sell an item, it is small enough to fit into a USPS flat rate container. However, I'm selling off my kid's of BCs as they have outgrown them. Priority Mail price makes selling these difficult even at a decent price for the item. Have any of you discovered an economical way to ship a bulky item such as a BC?

TIA

No cheap way but USPS tends to be pretty competitive.

Just try to minimize the size of the box, as the volume is the cost decider. Sometimes saving a few inches in height can reduce shipping a lot.

Not sure but keep us posted. I have one I need to ship too.

what size/dimensions are they? do they pack pretty flat?

if so, try a regional rate box b or the flat rate large board game box

Thanks runsongas, I've ordered a packet of game board boxes. It'll be a tight fit if it fits at all.....I'll post my finding.

Well, I took RunsOnGas' advice and used a Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Board Game Box
USPS.com - Store
to ship a BC. It took a bit of determination to fit the damn thing in, but with the help of a 140 lbd redheaded teenager and strong tape it can be done. Break open the long seam and put the vacuumed BC in the box. Close it up and with your weighted assistant helping tape it shut.

Shipping is the same as Large Flat Box rate, so don't spend 30 minutes on eBay or the USPS website looking for a rate specific for a game box. I know a silly someone who did that.

The BC made it to it's destination....no update from the buyer yet.

Thanks for the suggestion ROG.
