We are planning on our first trip to Roatan in July and are pretty much set with going with Luna Beach Resort. (I want to be able to eat dinner at different places and see more of the island than just the inside of a resort)
For the 1 bedroom beach suites, it seems like you can either book a "Beach View from Deck, door to side" or a regular "Beach View" room (more $). Has anyone stayed here before and can tell me the difference? I cant imagine it's 70% more expensive just to not have the door be on the side of the room -- are the rooms with the "Beach View" signifiantly nicer than the "Beach View from Deck" rooms? (i.e. are the cheaper ones back in the jungle that if you looked really hard from the deck you could maybe see the beach or something?)
(Also any advice on how to not get eaten alive besides the obvious wearing tons of bug spray anytime above water would be a welcome tip as well!!)
