Hi, I bought a mares jubilee BCD in February and first tried it in a trip in Utila in april. The first time I tried to put weight in my back trim pocket, the zipper broke. I had to dive with only one trim pocket containing weight. Overall, I really like the BCD, especially since it’s a back-mouth and weight-integrated.
I brought it back to the LDS where I bought it and they sent it back to mares to fix the trim pocket zipper + maybe solidified the weight integrated system (which I liked) since they were getting loose (heavy weight pull on the seams). The thing is, they discontinued the model and wants to give me the Dacor falcon instead.

My LDS don’t have a lot of info on it, neither the websites (leisurepro or else) so I would like to know, for those who have tried it or own one, what you like or don’t about it…

Also, how much weight can you put it in the trim pocket?
Do you like the weight release system?
The fact that it don’t have a depth compensating cummerbund worries me a little as well since, once I’m in the water, I always tighten more my waist belt and Velcro help to put it smaller and keep it in place. Is that a problem or is the BCD stays in place?
How is the airlift in your opinion?
Thanks in advance

Apart from the inflator, weight pockets and colour aren’t they basically the same BCD?

I don't know, that's why I posted this tread. My LDS just have the info of the catalog which doesn't specify weight capacity and doesn't even mention if there is some trim pocket but I think I read somewhere it did...He does not have it in stock (so I guess I can't see it before ordering it as a replacement and I'm leaving to Honduras in 4 weeks)

I am mostly worried about the absence of depth compensater for the adjustement on the waist and I read also in another post that it doesn't pack well for travelling but it looks like the jubilee which was fine when I brought it in Utila...
I actually would like to know what people who've tried it think about it and what they've liked or not...

I bought a Dacor Falcon and Dacor Elite as gifts for two of my diving friends. I haven't used the falcon personally (his size is way different than mine even if I wanted to try it) but he is happy and has no problems. I helped him check the operation of the indlator, dunp valves, and overpressure relief - these were all quite good. If you like a vest-style integrated BCD, it seems like a heck of a good deal.

I purchesed a falcon the 1st week of april, the seams on both side came apart, a freind has had one for over 12 months (32 dives) with no problems, we both like the falcon but are a little nervis that maybe that the reson its discontinued???????

I don't know why it is discontinued but I finally got a zeagle stiletto instead. I ask my LDS and add a little more money for the difference in cost (my jubilee was 450 CAD$ and the stiletto is 675 CAD$) but I really don't regret it. I think the end of the problems (hopefully) worth the difference in price! You maybe were just unlucky like me but you can try what I did with my LDS and offer them to pay the difference for a higher quality BCD (can't go wrong with zeagle)...
Good luck!
Woohoo...I'm leaving tomorrow for Utila/Roatan to really try more my new zeagle BCD!
