I have a trip planned in January aboard the Explorer. As I have been watching the weather down in Exumas, I am noticing winds @ 20 to 30 mph... everyday. Is this normal for the winter months and if so, what effect does that have on the seas and diving?

I am a long time deep sea fisherman from the Pacific side (San diego, Cabo San lucas) and if we had winds like that there, we would be in for a wet rough ride.

I am assuming the Pacific swell is much greater than that of the Atlantic and Carribean and wind and swell is a bad combo but really not sure what to expect.
